This winter, the highlight will be the new concert series: ‘Bringing the Madness: Reflections’. On four evenings, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike will be setting the Antwerps Sportpaleis on fire. It’s the fifth year in a row that the brothers will be kicking off the Christmas holidays with a very merry extravaganzaIn the past four years, they have played no fewer than 11 shows, for a total of 215,000 tickets. In 2016, the event featured a retro DJ set with vinyl mixed from a floating DJ booth suspended meters above the crowd. The whole venue was transformed with an impressive LED wall measuring 1,200 square metres and no fewer than 910 canisters of CO2 were emptied. Facts and figures to make your head spin.
Between the DJ sets, there’s also time for new music. There are some international collaborations in the works: Coldplay and The Chainsmokers asked them to remix their song ‘Something Just Like This’ and the next single, to be released soon, is a collab with David Guetta. In the past, the brothers have also worked with superstars such as Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Snoop Dogg and Sean Paul. In May, they released their remix of the well-known ‘He’s a Pirate’ by film music composer Hans Zimmer. The track is included as a bonus track for the new movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge’.
With their hits, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have racked up over 60 million streams op Spotify. Shows in the United States – from New York to Las Vegas and Miami – have sold-out in no time. And they’re not only winning big on the charts, but on social media as well. In fifteen months’ time, the DJ brothers have had two number-one hits in the world’s most prestigious music chart.
