About Erik Arbores.

Being a fast student, Erik Arbores is already spreading his own soundtracks and unofficial pop remixes on YouTube when he’s about ten years old. As he gets his high school diploma at the age of 13 and begins an Applied Physics study, he breaks this off after six months to completely focus on music. “My best decision ever”, he says about this. “Even though it was a bit special to start working as a DJ at such a young age.”

Breakthrough
It gets him noticed by several media. Ranging from national radio and newspapers to some of Holland’s best watched tv shows, he’s a welcome guest everywhere who knows how to represent the fast moving world of dance music like no other. “I depicted it simply was possible to start a DJ career at this age. And if music is your passion, you should follow that dream. Be firm and radiate this. Many people have told me since then they were inspired by me because I followed the thing I was most passionate about -that’s kinda special, right?”

After his first television appearances, things pick up quickly. Erik gets several offers from DJs and labels, releases music on Armin van Buuren’s imprint Armada Music, followed by his debut single ‘Bliss’ which holds the #1 spot on the Dutch iTunes chart for four days. A year later he signs with the world’s most popular dance label Spinnin’ Records, the place where famed DJs like Afrojack, Sander van Doorn and Martin Garrix had their breakthrough.

Performances
After that Erik has done many performances. His first gig is during the Amsterdam Dance Event 2011, followed by a show in a sold out Heineken Music Hall for Dance4Life, for which he’s ambassador since 2012. Also remarkable, he gets to play for Dutch queen Beatrix during her last working visit and plays he set when the Dutch prime minister honors the Dutch Olympic team. “I’ve rolled into the entertainment world quite unknowingly, I didn’t really understand what was happening. But I did feel at home on stage immediately, like I was made for it.”In 2013 Erik Arbores celebrates his 16th birthday in style. The young DJ lets his dream come true by playing a set on Ibiza, playing the world’s biggest club Privilege as the youngest DJ there ever. A few months later his single ‘Get Ready’ comes out, getting lots of support from DJs like David Guetta, Afrojack en Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

2014 sees him pursue the chosen path. His newest track ‘Galactic’ receives critical acclaim, scoring over a million YouTube views. Subsequently he’s a special guest at famous Dutch singer Guus Meeuwis’ four-day concert series in the PSV stadium, attended by 40.000 people. By the end of the year he releases a successful remix of Bruno Mars’ ‘This Is My Love’, Jessie J’s single ‘Thunder’ and kicks off 2015 with a much played remix of DJ Fresh’s hit ‘Gravity’. Besides this the youngster starts developing other talents. “I’m writing a lot of songs. I want to develop myself as a producer and in the future not only release dance music but pop songs as well. In ten years I’d like to be in the studio with someone like Rihanna, that’s my dream now. But I’m still working on this. I can see what I want more clearly every day and am willing to completely dedicate myself to this. For sure the best is still yet to come!”
